Kara and Jack came down to visit me in VA! It was a great time and here's all the fun...
The first night we went out to eat at Clare and Don's, YUMMM, and we were joined by Sona and Bodhi (Boodhi, as Jack says it). Jack made a new friend and even ate his chicken to impress Boodhi!
Loves his lemons!!!

Loves his Boodhi!!!

OK, so the sleeping arrangements... Yes, I live in a one bedroom apartment and yes, Jack is a high maintenance sleeper. This lead me to be as creative as possible with my space. So, we made Jack his own "room" by putting the pack and play in the laundry room.

Jack, being Jack, figured out how to turn on and off the light and open the door from the pack and play. So, we taped an index card over the light switch and blocked the door with my heavy butchers block.

Then I slept on the air mattress and Kara had my bed. Then there was poor Rogie... His nails made a racket on the hard wood floors which kept Jack awake because "Jack's room" has a vent that opens to the main room which is where Rogie, Kara, and I were hanging out until we went to sleep. Poor Rogie was a good sport and unhappily wore his snow booties so that he wouldn't be loud on the floor.

He was much happier cuddling with Kara!

The next day MeMe and Grandpa came down to join us for the day. On the schedule, a trip to the splash park in Clarendon, walking around Alexandria, and Dinner back in Shirlington.
Jack LOVED the splash park so much that he was shivering and his lips were blue but he kept on going back for more. We had to literally pull him out and dry him off to go eat lunch.
We walked around the marina in Alexandria and looked at the boats and planes coming into Reagan.

Asian fusion dinner at Ping.
Avocado Roll and

Lo Mein

Yummy and Fun!!!

The next day Kara, Jack and I went to see the FDR Memorial.

Jack was such a big help while he was here! He helped me walk Rogie by holding his leash, which is so much fun because we get to go in an elevator and use the "special magic key" (my key fob). He even helped me feed Rogie too.
On our last day together Todd came into town and we all met up at Todd and Kara's friends' house in DC to celebrate the morning of the 4th of July at The Palisades Parade.

After the parade it was back across the bridge to VA for me and some fun with friends on my roof deck for the rest of the night!

Rogie stylin' in the beads!

Kelly squared, Happy Fourth!
